With all local schools canceled for at least the next two weeks due to the coronavirus, Mary Kilheeney and her husband can’t stay home with their 7-year-old daughter.
They have a small business to run — a restaurant in Trucksville called Kava Korner.
Instead, they came up with two ideas.
The couple plans to bring their daughter to work most days. She actually likes helping out.
And they are offering free lunch to area kids.
They made the decision to offer free kids’ menu meals — macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets and more — after recognizing a need on social media.
